This week I celebrate my two year Anniversary with WordPress. Officially two years of blogging! Thank you to all of you who follow and read along, and especially to those of you who comment and interact regularly – I really appreciate it!
It feels like just yesterday I was sitting on the floor of my little bachelor suite down the street, trying to come up with a concept for a ‘blog’. I had no idea where to start, what to write about, or how I was going to pull off enticing looking food photography. Two years later I’m in a proper sized apartment (for one!) 122 posted recipes with food photographs, completely new gear, and a nice big family of followers!
I still can’t believe it wasn’t a giant flop.
My photographs started off as completely amateur unedited little balls of frustration, and have evolved (with lots more frustration and of course hard work) to images I really love, and which even generate income for me from time to time. What a nice feeling to make progress. To learn and grow. To gain from your efforts. It’s not always easy living life as an obsessed food blogger who’s day job is full time Pastry Chef. There’s never enough perfect daylight, hours in the day, props in the cupboard, or butter in the fridge… but I love making time for it.
Thank you all again for making all the effort worthwhile. I highly recommend writing a blog yourself, as an outlet for your creativity, ideas, and whatever else you may come up with.
